The Tunisian Full Stitch (TFS)
The Tunisian Full Stitch (TFS) plays a crucial role in my top-down hat patterns, especially in shaping the crown by adding stitches. In the No Float Tunisian Crochet technique, I use the Tunisian Full Stitch as an increase stitch.
How to Make the Full Stitch (F):
Identify the Space:
Locate the space in between two stitches where you want to increase.
Insert the Hook:
Insert your hook in between the two stitches.
Yarn Over:
Yarn over and pull up a loop.
Effect on the Hat Crown:
The Tunisian Full Stitch (TFs) adds stitches directly between existing Tunisian Knit Stitches, effectively increasing the number of stitches in each round. This shaping technique is essential for forming the rounded crown of my top-down hat patterns.
